3.                  Team League Issues/Update from Carlos Londono

(a)                Team shirts for 2009-2010 season - $5/player shirt fee

(b)               Rules Clinic - We'll schedule for this fall (Sept/Oct '09) a rules clinic with           Roy Semington or a comparable pro.

4.                  Bylaws - Steve Baicker-McKee and Lithemba Velleman will provide revised draft of bylaws for review in advance of next Board meeting.

5.                  Website - Frank Pfenning, with input from Dave Michalowski, is upgrading the Box League website to include:

(a)                Team league self-score reporting

(b)               Team league automatic standings update

(c)                City-wide players rankings, based on tournament, team league, and box league play

(d)               Bulleting board/forum for players seeking matches

(e)                Player photos/bios

6.                  Team League Rules - Carlos and Lafe, with Dave Kodrin's help, will publish updated team league rules on the Pittsburgh Squash website.

7.                  Pittsburgh Open Pro Tournament Update from Duilio Costa

(a)                Glass court rental total cost = $32,000-$38,000.

(b)               Duilio will have a discussion shortly with a candidate for the position of Tournament Chair.  The Board will continue discussing the timeline and fundraising goals once the Tournament Chair has been selected.

8.                  PSRA Name Change - The Board voted unanimously to change the organization's name, effective immediately, from the "Pittsburgh Squash Racquets Association" to "Pittsburgh Squash", consistent with the national body's name change from "USSRA" to "U.S. Squash".  We will file the appropriate paperwork with the Pennsylvania Department of State and with U.S. Squash.

9.                  Potential uses of Pittsburgh Squash Funds:

(a)                Rules clinic

(b)               Contribute to tournament expenses

(c)                Youth squash program (similar to Squash Smarts)

10.              Pittsburgh Squash Logo - Dave Michalowski will create several potential versions of a logo for Pittsburgh Squash, which will be circulated for a Board vote.  We hope to have the new logo approved in time to include it on the flyer for the spring tournament.
